The proposed works along Haigh Terrace and the intersection with George's Street, Dun Laoghaire seek to improve the streetscape by using high quality hard and soft landscaping and street furniture to match the works completed by DLR along Marine Road, Queens Road and the Metals. Currently the width of the street and footpath is very narrow. The proposal is to remove the footpath and introduce one surface material for the full width of the street thereby promoting pedestrian priority and creating a more comfortable and attractive walking route. Parking spaces will be located within a planted zone which will reduce the visual impact of cars on the street.
