Wednesday 5th July – Water Wags racing in Dun Laoghaire Harbour – start time 18:45pm.

The Water Wag wooden sailing dinghies race each Wednesday evening from April to September around marks (buoys) on a laid ‘windward/leeward’ course in Dun Laoghaire Harbour.

Racing is extremely competitive with several of Ireland’s top sailors including Olympians competing in races that have been held each week in this one design class since 1887. There are currently 40 Water Wags sailed from the National, the Royal Irish and the Royal St George Yacht Clubs, several of which are over a hundred years old and remarkably, these classic boats are competitive against the newly built boats.
