Studio Saturday: Yoga with Lydia and the Music Makers

Event Description

Studio Theatre, Level 1, dlr LexIcon 
All welcome, no booking required 

Neurodivergent Studio Saturdays are workshops tailored to children with additional needs/neurodivergence. This month, we are delighted to welcome Lydia and the Music Makers back to the Studio! Special yoga therapist Lydia and some great Irish musicians will be exploring rhythm and song in a fun and relaxed environment.  As always, a quiet room will be available for anyone needing to self-regulate. 


11.00am & 11.45am Lydia and the Music Makers (suitable for ages 6-10 yrs) 
In this class we will enjoy group singalongs, hand clap games and drum circle call and response activities that will allow children enjoy the pleasure of creating music within a group environment purely for the fun of it. 

12.30pm The Go Free! Gig (suitable for ages 3yrs + and open to all families) 
A family-friendly gig with lower than usual volume, suitable for sensory sensitive audiences. This event is a truly inclusive experience; a safe space for siblings and parents to have fun, dance and be free to express themselves to live pop and soul classics.  

1.45pm & 2.30pm Yoga Adventures (suitable for ages 5-9 yrs) 

3.15pm Yoga Adventures (suitable for ages 9yrs+) 
These fun and engaging yoga classes will involve various yoga adventures, games and storytelling. Through the medium of story, we will engage with a variety of yoga poses, breathing techniques and midline crossing activities designed to help improve coordination, balance, and fine motor skills, whilst also being a playful and creative sensory experience.
