Event Description
Blazing a Trail: Irish Women Who Changed the World.
Curated by former dlr Writer in Residence, Sarah Webb
5 Oct 2018 - 7 Jan 2019

The women in this vibrant exhibition have excelled in the arts and entertainment, science and medicine, politics, sports, aviation and adventure. Find out more about these remarkable Irish women, from Dún Laoghaire-born artist Sarah Purser to ground-breaking architect Eileen Gray, including plenty of contemporary trailblazers such as Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell and athlete Sonia O'Sullivan. Linked to the new book from O’Brien Press of the same name by Sarah Webb and illustrated by Lauren O’Neill, this exhibition celebrates the centenary of votes for women in Ireland and the women who fought to change history.
