Let Go, Be Active All Activity Counts!
Adults should try to be physically active for at least 30 minutes, each day of the week.
You can add your minutes up - so adults can be active 3 times a day for 10 minutes each time; walking, cycling or dancing for example.
Children and teenagers should aim to be physically active for at least 1 hour, each day of the week.
Children can add their minutes up too they can try 15 minutes 4 times a day and it can be any form of physical activity they enjoy!
HOW TO GET STARTED
Let go, be active 
- Choose activities that you will enjoy
- If you are starting off- moderate activity is best.
- This means breathing slightly harder and becoming warmer than normal. Moderate also means that you should be able to talk and be active at the same time.

- We can all fit some form of activity into our lives. Use the stairs instead of the lift: get off the bus a couple of stops early: take the dog for a walk: put more energy into housework: stretch and tone while watching TV.
- Find out if there is anything going on in your area such as walking groups, football clubs or activity classes.
- Get family and friends involved it will help to keep you and them motivated.
- Once you LET GO you will enjoy yourself and once you get started, you will see the great benefits that come from regular activity.
- Activities you might enjoy could include: Walking, swimming, cycling, football, playing with the children or dancing.
- If you're not sure what's best for you talk to your doctor.
- Listen to you body and don't push it too far.
