This week, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council announced the launch of the new online planning application service, now available through the Local Government National E-Planning website.

“This is an important step for planning in DLR. The introduction of this online portal will benefit all citizens, while also promoting environmentally friendly and efficient practices,” said Councillor Denis O’Callaghan, Cathaoirleach at Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.

This new service will streamline the planning application process, enabling citizens to lodge applications digitally with ease. With the introduction of this online platform, applicants can now submit planning applications from the comfort of their own home or office, 24/7.  The user-friendly system will also allow applicants to track the progress of their applications. We will be hosting a workshop for agents to assist with how the application system works. Further details to be announced soon. Even though E-Planning is live, applicants will still have the option of using both paper and the online application process.

Frank Curran, Chief Executive, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council added:

“We are delighted to offer this new service to our community. By partnering with the LGMA, we aim to provide the best user experience possible for applicants seeking planning permission in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown. We are grateful to all who have contributed to this project and look forward to assisting applicants as we transition to this online platform.”
