18th Féile Filíochta launched

THEY'RE OFF!

The 18th annual Féile Filíochta International Poetry Competition is off to a flying start. First past the post with the most outstanding poem in the Adult categories of the competition will receive the Grand Prize of 5,000 euros and the coveted Féile Filíochta Poem of Europe Award presented by the Assembly of European Regions.

The Féile Filíochta has always recognised the power of the poem in its native language and this year we are delighted to welcome Polish to the competition as the 10th language category in this unique competition.

The competition offers excellent prizes, a distinguished panel of judges and publication of winning poems in the annual Féile Filíochta booklet. All winning poems since 1999 have also been published here on our website. As the finishing line is reached, the winners in every category are invited to a grand prize winning ceremony in the ballroom of the County Hall of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.
