Get ready for an exciting and fun-packed week of events celebrating the joy of cycling in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown which will take place from 11-19 May featuring a wide range of activities and events across the County. Cyclists of all ages and abilities are invited to join take part, with events such as children's learn-to-cycle workshops, family friendly cycles, the Dublin mountains active family night at the Gap, cycling heritage tours, bike accessory giveaways, and more on offer. 

Speaking at the launch Councillor Denis O’Callaghan, Cathaoirleach said:

“Bike Week events aim to encourage cyclists of all ages and abilities to experience some of the many benefits of cycling. There are many fun inclusive events spread throughout the County and I would encourage people to join in during the week as we have events catering for all levels, with all events free to attend.”

While Frank Curran, Chief Executive, Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council commented:

“Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council continues to support people to cycle in the County by encouraging people of all ages and abilities to consider sustainable transport modes which can deliver environmental, health, and economic benefits to both the individual and the community.”

All events are free and organised by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and independent parties; however, places are limited for some events and advanced booking is recommended.
