March Kids Art Studio: Tuesday 13 and Saturday 10

Every 2nd Tuesday of each month from 11am- 1pm and every 2nd Saturday of each month from 2.30-4.30pm
We've had lots of interest in the Open Studio for adults so we are starting one just for kids. Join our Open Art Studio for kids of all ages. If your child likes to paint, draw, make, fold or sculpt this is not to be missed. Artists will be on hand to help as little or as much as you'd like, materials and space area free, please note that it is not the responsibility of the artists to supervise your child. No booking required, just drop in.
Open Art Studio for Adults
Project Room, Level 3 (beside the Gallery)
Every Friday from 11am-1pm, suitable for adults. Join our Open Studio, it doesn’t matter if you are new to this sort of thing or a practicing artist, come along. Artist Emma Finucane will be on hand to help as little or as much as you’d like, materials and space are free.
No booking required, just drop in.
We've just awarded three commissions for the creation of new work. Traditional musician and composer Niall Vallely will explore the interaction between live musicians and pre-recorded material; contemporary music and traditional music; modern technology and century-old technology; Irish musicians in 2018 and Irish musicians in 1918.
Sean-Nós interpreter and composer Lorcán Mac Mathúna will take young musicians and singers from The Pipers Club CCÉ, based in Monkstown, on a journey exploring themes of place and folklore, Lorcán will work throughout 2018 with musician’s storytellers and archivists on delivering a concert which will be performed in October 2018.
Director Ciarán Taylor will work collaboratively with young people at the Grainstore, dlr's Youth Arts Facility in Cabinteely Park to create an artwork; this will culminate with performances at the Grainstore and dlr LexIcon.
