dlrcc update in response to Storm Ophelia

In response to Ophelia, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has put the following emergency response measures in place

·        It has assembled its Crisis Management Team that is meeting hourly throughout the day to review the position

·        A network of customer service agents has been established across all services and will remain on site throughout the day

·        Specific contact numbers are in operation today (listed below) and promoted on dlrcoco.ie and on Twitter @dlrcc

·        Social media and www.dlrcoco.ie may also be used to report issues arising from Storm Ophelia

·        The Council website dlrcoco.ie and Twitter @dlrcc is being updated as events unfold

·        Emergency Crews are on standby to monitor the situation and respond as required

·        River screens and gullies have been cleared of leaves in advance to reduce any flooding risks

·        Rough sleepers have been asked to go to a safe place at the Crosscare Community Café on Eblana Avenue in Dún Laoghaire town

·        Please be advised that there is additional resources for Homeless people & Rough sleepers in the Islamic Cultural Centre On Roebuck Road Clonskeagh

·        People are encouraged to stay away from the sea and remain indoors. Access to beach and waterfront areas in the County have been designated off-limits
