Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is pleased to announce that Round 2 of the 2016 dlr Grant Scheme is now open.

The purpose of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to individuals, groups and organisations engaged in projects, events or developments at local or County level. The emphasis of the scheme is on providing a diverse range of funding for projects from Events and Heritage to Community, Arts and Business.

The Council endeavours to encourage the development of as broad a range of local community activities and services as possible. This ensures that the limited financial resources available are used to the maximum benefit of the community at large.

The dlr Grant Scheme has 7 different grant categories:

  • Arts Grants
  • Business Area Promotion Grants
  • Community Grants
  • Environment Grants
  • Event Grants
  • Heritage Grants
  • Sports Grants

Speaking about the scheme An Cathaoirleach, Cllr Barry Saul, said “I am delighted that we can provide this opportunity for a wide variety of groups and organisations from every corner of the County to apply for a wide range of grants. In Round 1 of the 2016 Scheme, the Council has already approved over €492k in funding and I would urge any interested parties to apply as soon as possible.”

The closing date for applications is Tuesday, 3rd May 2016.
