The three year Capital Programme 2018-2020 will deliver a considerable number of infrastructural and housing projects that are of strategic importance to the county and the region from both a social and an economic perspective. This will shape the development of the county, creating an environment for economic renewal, jobs growth and promoting quality of life for all.
The total cost of all projects is €742m, of which is estimated €496m will be incurred during the life of the programme.
Highlights of the Programme include:
- €226m for social housing
- €202m for development of infrastructure for the new town at Cherrywood
- €75m for road infrastructure for the development of lands at Kilternan/Glenamuck
- €33m for road and public realm projects that will allow for the future growth of the Sandyford Business District
- €206m for public realm/quality of life projects, including the development of Fernhill Park in Stepaside, the development of Phase 2 of the Samuel Beckett Civic Campus and the redevelopment of the Dún Laoghaire Baths.
