Mountains to Sea 2017 tickets now on Sale

The festival takes place from the 22nd – 26th of March throughout Dún Laoghaire. We have a host of fantastic events including authors John Boyne, Chris Cleave and John Banville as well as events focused on politics, history and music. Poetry lovers are well catered for with Michael Longley, Paula Meehan and Nick Laird among the many poets appearing. And as always the Family & Schools programme offers events for all ages and this year includes a legend of children’s books, Judith Kerr (The Tiger Who Came to Tea)

International Women’s Day

Mountains to Sea dlr Book Festival is delighted to host a special programme of events for International Women’s Day. Join us as we talk to women at the top of their game in three very different fields.

The Virago Story: Changing the World One Page at a Time, Lennie Goodings and Sarah Savitt, publishers of female writers,  in conversation with Sinéad Gleeson 2pm €12/10

Politician Harriet Harman in conversation with Keelin Shanley 4.30pm €12/10

Caitlin Moran, feminist, award winning columnist and author,  in conversation with Declan Hughes 7.30pm €20/18

 

Mountains to Sea dlr Book Festival takes place in Dun Laoghaire every March. It honours the unique and enviable literary heritage of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown by providing opportunities for the public to hear the very best of Irish and international writers. Literary fiction is at the heart of the festival but events cover an array of genres including a family and schools strand and a dedicated poetry programme.
