Irish Youth Dance Festival
This festival happens annually at the Pavilion Theatre in Dun Laoghaire during the summer as an appetizer for the festival of World Cultures run by Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. The festival is a platform for National Youth Dance Groups and also offers opportunities for young professional dance artists to showcase new work. It aims to raise the profile of Youth Dance in Ireland encouraging young talents to develop and grow in their artistic and personal pursuits. For more information contact The Arts Office.
Dublin Youth Dance Company
Ireland's leading Youth Dance Group based in Dun Laoghaire and funded by Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council. The group rehearses regularly and participates in National and International festivals. DYDC commissions new work from Irish based choreographers and produces the Irish Youth Dance Festival at the Pavilion Theatre bringing together Youth Dance groups from across Ireland to celebrate dance, music and youth arts.
