dlr arts call for creative practitioners to work with children, young people and older people throughout dlr County
Art forms: Architecture, Circus, Dance, Film, Literature, Music, Opera, Street Arts and Spectacle, Opera, Theatre, Traditional Arts, Visual Arts and Craft
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Arts Office is looking for experienced creative practitioners for the opportunities listed below. We are looking for practitioners who are experienced in working collaboratively, flexible in their approach and responsive to the needs of the participants.
Contexts
Primary Schools
We are looking for seven creative practitioners to engage with teachers and children in our local primary schools. It is envisaged that one of these opportunities will target craft and one will target music.
Timeline: Sept 2011 – May 2012 (main engagement with schools from Jan – May 2012)

Youth Arts
We are looking for three creative practitioners in the areas of Animation, Radio production or Sound Design/Score to engage with our Youth Arts Programme. We are currently working towards a youth arts festival in November, the aim is to support our local young people to showcase and organise events and projects for their peers. The main manifestations will be exhibitions, live screenings, gigs, and events that will be live and for broadcast on radio.

Arts and Health
In partnership with the HSE health promotions office, Dublin Mid - Leinster we are currently looking for two creative practitioners to engage with our local HSE funded residential and day care facilities.

Older People and Craft
In February 2012 we are hosting a craft exhibition curated by Angela O’ Kelly. We are looking for a creative practitioner for a craft based residency with older people in the County.

- Statement outlining your interest in the proposed context and relevance of opportunity to your work to date
- Two referees (must be related to collaborative practice and if possible the chosen context)
- Outline of proposal (only applicable for the Older People and Craft residency)
