Arts and Health
The Health Promotion Department of the HSE Dublin Mid-Leinster are our partners in delivering the Arts and Health Programme. The main objective is to make creativity intrinsic to life in care and to promote and enhance the quality of life, health and well being of those taking part. The Arts and Health Programme is targeted at older people within the county.
To date the participants have been offered taster sessions to link into
the existing DLR Arts Programme. They have attended the Country House Concerts
in Cabinteely house. The children from The Harold School, Glasthule visited
Dalkey Community Unit for Older Persons and gave a talk about the work they
created through the DLR Creative Classrooms programme to name but a few
examples.
