Water Conservation
The Council as part of the Dublin Regional Conservation Strategy, part funded by the E.U., has an on-going major water conservation programme involving active leakage control.
Under this project, leakage in the county has been reduced from 45% to 22%, saving over 10,000 cubic meters per day. This is in addition to the normal water maintenance programme.
