Change of Speed Limit on Route to Shanganagh Waste Treatment Works Site
Notice is hereby given that in exercise of the powers vested under Section 10 of the Road Traffic Act, 2004, and in the interests of Road Safety , Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council propose to apply a Temporary Road Speed Limit Order of 30km/hr on the route to Shanganagh Water Treatment Works Site as follows:
Rathsallagh Road from a point 30 metres east of Shanganagh
Road to a point 30 metres north of Shanganach Cliffs Bridge.
Shanganagh Cliffs from its junction with Rathsallagh Road eastward for 120 metres to haul road exit.
The Speed Limit is required in order to facilitate the safe passage of construction traffic through residential areas. It is proposed to implement a temporary road works speed limit of 30 km/hr which will apply from 5th January, 2009 to 30th June, 2011.
