Parking Control Bye-Laws 2007
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council (hereinafter referred to as "the Council") in exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 36 of the Road Traffic Act l994 and having consulted with the Commissioner of An Garda Síochána hereby makes the following Bye-Laws.
The Bye-Laws provide as follows:-
- That Pay and Display Parking Control measures may be introduced by the Council in any Council Carpark or on any Public Road in the Council's administrative area subject to compliance with the Council's Guidelines for the Implementation of Pay and Display Parking Control Schemes.
- That Pay and Display Parking Control shall not apply on Public Holidays as described in the Bye-Laws.
- That Residents who live in Converted Houses may apply for Residents Parking Permits.
- That persons who live in purpose built apartment blocks may not apply for Residents Parking Permits.
- That parking fees shall increase in Zone A from €1.50 to €2.00 per hour, in Zone B from €1.00 to €1.50 per hour and that all days charges in Zone C (Station Road and Marlborough Road, Glenageary and certain roads in Sandyford Business Estate) shall be €3.00 per day as described in the Bye-Laws.
- That all day parking fees at the Carparks at the Westpier and Salthill Dart Station shall be €3.00.
- That the annual fee for a Residents Permit shall be increased to €40.00 per year or €75.00 for a two year Permit.
- That the Charge for Change of Address or Change of Vehicle in regard to Residents Permits shall be dropped.
- That Parking Permits will not be issued to Businesses or employees.
The Bye Laws come into effect on the 1st August 2007.
