Variation No. 2: Sandyford Urban Framework Plan (SUFP), 2011-2016
Resolution:
That pursuant to Section 13 of the Planning and Development Act 2000, (as amended) that this Council, being the Planning Authority for Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County, having considered a draft of proposed Variation No. 2 of the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Development Plan 2010-2016 to incorporate the Sandyford Urban Framework Plan (SUFP) into the County Development Plan and accordingly make amendments to the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Development Plan 2010-2016, Variations to Map 6, and the Environmental Report which were on public display from 10th January, 2011 to 7th February, 2011 and the Manager's Report on submissions and observations received, which was submitted to it pursuant to Section 13 (4)(a) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended), and having discussed proposed amendments to the Draft Variation No. 2 of the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Development Plan 2010-2016 pursuant to Section 13 (5)(b) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) at a meeting of the Council held on Monday 11th April, 2011, and having published notice of proposed material alterations as approved by the Council which were on public display from 13th May to 13th June, 2011 and having considered and taken into account the Manager's Report on the submissions or observations received on the proposed material alterations at a meeting of the Council on 12th September, 2011 do hereby resolve in accordance with the provisions of Section 13 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended) to make the Variation to the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Development Plan 2010-2016 to incorporate the Sandyford Urban Framework Plan - Variation No. 2 into the County Development Plan as modified by the approved amendments in the Manager's Report and by the motions in the following schedule and accordingly to make amendments to the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Development Plan 2010-2016, Variations to Map 6, and the Environmental Report and that the necessary notices of making the Variation be published in accordance with the requirements of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended) and that the Variation be called:
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, Variation of the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Development Plan 2010-2016 (No. 2 2011).

Proposed Variation No. 2 to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Development Plan 2010-2016 includes the following:

Amendments to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Development Plan 2010-2016 (as a result of the policies and objectives set out in the Sandyford Urban Framework Plan), and
-
Variations to Map 6 of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Development Plan 2010-2016 (as a result of the policies and objectives set out in the Sandyford Urban Framework Plan).
In accordance with Strategic Environmental Assessment Directive (2001/42/EC), the Planning and Development (Strategic Environmental Assessment) Regulations and Article 6 (3) of the Habitats Directive 92/43/EEC, the following documents have been prepared to accompany the Sandyford Urban Framework Plan:
In addition to the above documents, Background Papers were prepared to set out the context, survey and analysis and rationale that informed the Sandyford Urban Framework Plan making process. The papers provide a technical summary of the processes undertaken and information collated by each Council Department involved in the preperation of the Plan. the rationale that informed the Sandyford Urban Framework Plan making process. The Background Papers do NOT form part of Proposed Variation No. 2 but are for information purposes only. The Background Paper prepared by the Transportation Department summarises the key elements and conclusions of the Sandyford Transportation Model Peer Review and 2016 Scenario Tests, Draft Final Report prepared by Mott McDonald, January, 2011.
