Important Planning Information

Please note that pursuant to Part 4 of the Planning & Development Regulations 2001 the following revised list of newspapers approved to carry Planning Application Notices for Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has been approved as and from the 15th May, 2009:

Certificate of Exemption

Applications for Planning Permission must also apply for a Certificate of Exemption (or have been granted one previously) if they propose to build one or more dwelling units (regardless of the total site area).

Application for a Certificate of Exemption under Section 97 of the Planning and Development Act 2000: 

The Statutory Declaration template provided with the application is intended for use as a guideline only.  When preparing the declaration for submission with the application, item nos. 1 to 9 must be answered/completed by the applicant, (bearing in mind that individual circumstances differ/vary for each applicant). The completed declaration should then be signed by a commissioner for oaths or a practicing solicitor.

Christmas/New Years:

Please note that in accordance with Section 251 of the Planning & Development Act, 2000 "where calculating any appropriate period or other time limit referred to in this Act or in any Regulations made under this Act, the period between the 24th December, and the 1st January, both days inclusive shall be disregarded".
