1995 Tenant Purchase Scheme
If you have been a tenant of the Local Authority for a minimum of 12 months up to ten years, the 1995 Tenant Purchase Scheme gives you the opportunity to purchase your house at a reduced price. If eligible, you will receive a 3% discount for every year (maximum 10 years) that you have been a tenant of the Local Authority, plus a grant of €3,809.21. The maximum discount that you could be eligible for is 30%.

Are there restrictions on the use/resale of the house?
Yes, if you wish to sell, transfer or re-mortgage the house within a period of 20 years from the date of purchase or before you have acquired full ownership, you will require the consent of the Council.
