Grants for the Conservation of Protected Structures

The Grants for the Conservation of Protected Structures scheme is financed by the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government.

The objective of the scheme is to assist the owner or occupier of a structure which is protected because of its architectural, historical, archaeological, artistic, cultural, scientific, social or technical interest to undertake conservation works on such structure.

Each year, local authorities are allocated a fixed amount of money to meet grant payments.

Accordingly, grant applications are prioritised each year within available resources.  Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council advertises for applications each year, usually in January, in the national press.
