Over 80 young dancers and choreographers from around Ireland and beyond descend on the seaside town of Dun Laoghaire for the 6th Irish Youth Dance Festival. Hosted by Dublin Youth Dance Company, this annual event provides a wonderful evening for the community and offers young dancers around Ireland an exciting opportunity to showcase their work.
This year’s exciting performances include hosts Dublin Youth Dance Company, Irish National Youth Ballet, Crux Youth Dance Company, New Moon Dance Company, College of Dance, Niamh Condron, Animated State and the UK based Bridgend Youth Dance. The festival promises to be an unforgettable evening, supporting and encouraging the artistic development of our young dance community so please book early to avoid dissapointment!
Free Dance Workshops
In Conjunction with the festival, Dublin Youth Dance Company with the support of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council Events are hosting free outdoor jazz, tango and contemporary workshops on the Ferry Plaza, Dun Laoghaire on Sunday 11th from 12–6pm.
