Creative Writing Workshops restarting this January
Novelist, theatre-maker and recent IADT/dlr Writer-in-Residence Mia Gallagher will be continuing her successful engagement with the dlr community by running a series of weekly Creative Writing Workshops at IADT (Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art Design and Technology).
The workshops will run for ten weeks, starting Thursday 20 th January, from 6.30 – 8.30 pm. The venue is Room A116, first floor Atrium Building (same building as main reception for IADT).
The workshops will include exercises and techniques to spark creativity and strengthen story-telling and writing skills; participants will also use a tried-and-tested critiquing model to hone their critical skills and sensitively respond to others’ work.
The college is directly on bus routes 46A and 75. The classes are free of charge and people can drop in and out as they wish. There is no formal application/registration process – just turn up on a Thursday night and join in!
